Take Me to the Ocean

The salty breeze, rough sand burrowing between your toes, and the vast blueness of a world yet known.
I truly love the ocean. I'm fortunate enough to live in a state that is a gateway to the Atlantic. I have yet to get over to the Pacific, but I doubt that it'll be long before I can fulfill my journey to the west. It's interesting, because I did not get to experience it fully until I was twelve, but immediately I fell in love. My Mom has a fear of water, while my Dad is undecided on the ocean. Then there's me, who takes over a hundred pictures of any angle possible, runs up onto the large rocks to see the waves crash beneath them, and isn't afraid to get drenched in the salty coolness. In my room I have a jar of various smooth stones, sea glass, and shells I've found from random trips to places along the coast like Roques Bluff, Kennebunk, Bar Harbor, and most recently Bailey Island this past weekend (picture above).

My next goal is to get to the Cape, and experience the gloriousness of the sea there.

Is there any destination that is your favorite and you think I should experience?

An Introduction?

Today I had an epiphany,  I needed to start a blog. ...and here I am! You should probably know whose musings you are reading though, so here's an introduction of sorts to my rather crazy life.

I was born in the largest city in the state of Maine, but moved to the small town in Northern Maine where I now reside at an early age. I love Aroostook County, I do, but my town is not exactly a...gem...and the people aren't exactly the kindest, so I might complain a little bit about life here. I placed my trust in Jesus Christ at an early age, and work my summers at Living Waters Bible Conference in Danforth, Maine.

I have a real zest for life, and have a wicked severe type-A personality...so if I'm working on something it's best you not get in my way. *hint-hint* Planning on being a stay-at-home mom/wife, but also having a degree in History so I can teach if need be. Speaking of History, to say I'm a history buff is an understatement. Presidential Knowledge is my forte, and I was quite often quoted as a child saying that I would be First Lady someday. Writing, coffee, singing, Disney, and the ocean are some of my other passions.

Well, if I kept going I'd be here all night, and trust me...you don't want that.
